Thanksgiving Dinner Just Still $1.79

Thanksgiving Dinner still$1.79

These days, the cost of everything keeps going up.  But here at Wheeler Mission we can still feed and care for one hungry person for just $1.79.

We need your help to serve more than 76,380 meals this Thanksgiving season including our Thanksgiving Dinner on November 27.

This meal is often the first contact the Mission has with people in need.  Once they are fed, it's much easier to begin taking care of other problems like homelessness, addiction, lack of education or joblessness.

The cost of helping one homeless or hungry person may be one of the few things that hasn't gone up in the past year.

Here's how you can help us today:

  1. Pray:  Please pray for the men, women and children who seek our help.
  2. Volunteer:  There are many ways you can volunteer your time and your talents. E-mail Pam Eversole at PamEversole@wmm.org for ways you can help.
  3. Give a secure financial gift HERE

Wheeler Mission is not a United Way designated agency.  We rely on private, tax-deductible donations to feed, shelter, and care for our city's neediest people.

I Get Overwhelmed With Gratefulness

Randy RhodesRandy was raised in a Christian home near Columbus. "I had very loving parents. My mom brought us to the Lord. She said, 'Randy, you know God’s word is the truth and things aren't going to go well for you if you don't listen.'" Randy wasn't a great listener and lived the way he wanted. He was convicted of burglary and forgery at 17 and sentenced to 30 years in jail!

Released early, he violated his parole and was sent back.
